The Town of Hillsville is accepting applications for a Part-Time Farmers Market Manager/Coordinator.
This job will entail extensive marketing and communication skills. The Market Manager/Coordinator will be working with the Town Manager of Hillsville to create a Town of Hillsville farmers market. Initially the market will be located at a temporary site, which will in turn become a sustainable seasonal and possibly year-round market including a permanent multi-use structure. The position will be responsible for the following: Must have the skillset to recruit new vendors, monitor compliance with relevant regulations and codes, make temporary stall assignments with organization of tents and set-up, secure necessary permits and licenses, work with grant foundation, track food, store, and wholesale prices to guide pricing for the market and vendors, review the budget and maintain records of marketing expenses and income, and ensure all vendor forms are completed properly and retained. Job subject to change based on changes from a temporary to permanent market, and the position may become full time with these changes.
Graduation from high school or GED and minimum of two-year college degree and cash handling experience preferred. Application should include cover letter and resume.
